Illies Golden Gloves trio advance at National Senior Championships

Three Illies Golden Gloves boxers all advanced from quarter-finals at the National Senior Championship semi-finals today.

Middleweight John McDonagh, light-heavyweight David Tsotsoria and welterweight Caroline Gallagher all won through this afternoon at the National Stadium.

Gallagher (above, right) overcame Karolina Jaglowska of Celtic Eagles 5-0.

Tsotsoria was victorious on a 4-1 split decision against Michael Erpelding from Holy Family.

And McDonagh – who last weekend defeated Cathal Browne in his opening bout – had a fine 4-0 win over ST Francis puncher Shane O’Brien.
