Red Hughs’ Ulster final star Johnny Carlin is our latest Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week.
Carlin polled 856 votes – 36 per cent of the 2,384 votes cast.
Carlin saw off Irish Open badminton champions Chloe and Sam Magee, who took 777 votes, and Gaoth Dobhair’s hat-trick hero Daire O Baoill.
Carlin came off the bench to make a match-winning impact in Saturday’s Ulster Club JFC final. Carlin scored 1-2, including a memorable goal, as Red Hughs took the Ulster title thanks to a 1-11 to 1-9 win over Limavady.
Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jersey and a half-zip, supplied by O’Reilly’s.
