Roadworks on the N15 through Ballybofey and Stranorlar will be suspended over the busy Christmas period.

The news will come as a relief to business owners in the areas, as well as shoppers across the county – with the suspension coming into effect from December 7 to January 7.

Cathaoirleach Stranorlar Municipal District welcomed the news following its confirmation.

“N15 Capry Ballybofey agreement has been reached to suspend operations over four weeks period and to recommence works in January,” Councillor Patrick McGowan said.

“A special speed limit will be in place as this remains a building site.

“There will be two-way traffic, all works will stop with no traffic lights or stop-go in operation.”
