Yvonne Bonner has touched down in Sydney – and says she’s excited to get down to work with the Greater Western Sydney Giants.

The Donegal star was chosen form the CrossCoders trial to sign with the Greater Western Sydney Giants for the 2019 season.

Bonner landed in Sydney on Saturday and took part in her first training session with the Giants on Monday.

“I really enjoyed it. I’m excited,” Bonner said.

“I felt my skills were transferrable. I’m excited to learn a new sport.”

Mayo star Cora Staunton played for the Giants in 2018 and arrives Down Under again next week to link up with Bonner and co.

The Glenfin woman added: “It’s quite similar to Gaelic. I’ll try and kick goals like I do at home!”
