Another great turnout for the Letterkenny Parkrun – Pic Special

Forty-nine people took part in today’s Letterkenny Parkrun which was a great turnout considering preparations are also underway for the Letterkenny A.C. Turkey Trot tomorrow at 11.30 am.
The early weather this morning was not very welcoming but when the 5k commenced conditions were very mild with only a light mist of rain.
First home today was Aaron Nepgen with Humphrey Murphy second and Letterkenny Parkrun first timer in third. Natasha ran very well and will surely benefit from knowing the course for future runs at the 5k.
It was nice to see the walkers taking advantage of the mild conditions for the 5k which contributes well to the recommended minimum of 150 minutes of exercise per week.
Work at widening the path leading into the park is at an advanced stage and should be completed in time for the 150th Letterkenny Parkrun. Many thanks to all the council staff for the work in progress and the safety provided by them in fencing off this particular area while this work continues.
