Donegal Ladies’s official Hugh Devenney was recognised with the ‘Special Recognition Award’ for Ladies Football at the GAA Ulster President’s awards held on Thursday in Ballymena.
Devenney, a former Chairman of Donegal Ladies board, was honoured at Tullyglass Hotel in Ballymena for his dedication to Ladies football in the county.
West Donegal side Ardara also received an award on the night – coming joint second for their ground, Pearse Memorial Park.
Memorial Park was voted Donegal GAA Club Ground of the Year Award last week.
Frank McGhee accepted the award on behalf of the club.
