Christopher Sweeney could scarcely believe that he was living his dream.

Gaoth Dobhair goalkeeper Sweeney has been soldiering for over a decade with the Magheragallon outfit and there were many days where an Ulster title felt like the impossible dream.

“Unbelievable…not just for our own club, but other people inside the county,” Sweeney beamed after Gaoth Dobhair’s 0-13 to 0-12 win over Scotstown.

“It’s massive. Jesus, if you’d said to us two years ago we’d be winning Ulster titles, we’d tell them to f..off. Christ almighty, we always knew we had the calibre of player, but we just couldn’t get it together”.
