Kevin Cassidy was choking with the emotion after Gaoth Dobhair overcame Scotstown in today’s Ulster final.

Cassidy was a colossus for Gaoth Dobhair over the 80-plus minutes of action in Omagh as Mervyn O’Donnell’s team prevailed in sticky conditions.

“It’s been thrown at us that it’s been so easy and do we have it in the stomach to come from behind,” Cassidy said.

“We dug it out and we showed that fight to get the job done. It’s just fantastic. The boys showed fantastic composure to grind out scores.

“It’s the stuff of dreams. You dream of coming here and doing this. It won’t sink in for a couple of days, but it’s massive for us. It means absolutely everything.”
