The LYIT Ladies Basketball team got their season in Division 1 off to a losing start last night in a tough away game against Trinity College.
With a few key players missing out due to injury and placement, it was a small panel who travelled to Dublin.
LYIT came out firing with early scores from Aisling Nee and victory scholar Adyia Henderson, but Trinity came back strong.
Their super size and depth helped them into a healthy lead by the half.
LYIT battled back strong in the second half but TCD just had too much fire power and ran out winning 68-37.
