Letterkenny Institute of Technology have been drawn against Mary Immaculate College in the opening round of the Electric Ireland Trench Cup.

Michael Murphy’s team will square up to the Limerick scholars on January 22/23.

The winners of that game will face Trinity/Ulster University, Coleraine in the next round.

The loser of the LyIT-Mary I game will come up against the closer of the Trinity-UU clash.

The second round fixtures are punched in for January 29/30.

LyIT won the Division 2 League final in November, beating Dundalk 3-14 to 2-15 in the final.
