Ballybofey bids farewell to roadworks for Christmas

Roadworks and traffic lights were a major part of life in the Twin Towns this year, but as of today, the works are suspended as a Christmas gift to locals.

Friday evening will see the N15 Blackburn Bridge to Ballybofey road works ending for a month, much to the relief of commuters, shoppers and delivery drivers.

The traffic lights were as familiar as Christmas lights to people in the area by now, but these will be removed tonight as two-way traffic flow is reinstated.

A special speed limit is expected to remain in the area, which will remain a building site.

Roadworks will recommence on Monday 7th January 2019.
