Two men arrested after attempt to steal car from house

Two men have been arrested after an incident in Stranorlar last night in which a car was stolen.

Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating an incident which occurred at a house in Ardmccool, shortly after 9pm.

Two males attempted to steal a car but were disturbed and fled on foot.

The two suspects were subsequently arrested at Main St, Ballybofey, under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A spokesman for the Garda Press Office told Donegal Daily that the men have since been released pending further investigation.
