Donal Noone, a founding member of the Inishowen Co-Op, has passed away this week.

Mr Noone of St. Colmcille’s Village, Clonmany, died on Thursday 13th December.

He was one of five original committee members of the Inishowen Farmers’ Co-Op in 1963, which began with the mart and stores and later moved into piggery.

In 1975, the three co-ops came under the management of Mr Noone with the title of The Inishowen Co-operative Society Ltd. He spent his life working in support of the needs of the farming industry and is remembered as a ‘true gentleman’.
