Superhuman spotted at this week’s Letterkenny Parkrun

Superhuman strength, speed, durability, and agility were on display at Letterkenny Parkrun on Saturday as Spiderman was the first person home.

The margin was just the thickness of the strand of a spiders web. Philip O Hare was second and Martin Donnelly was third.

It is widely believed that Shane Mullaney, Moycarkey, Coolcroo A.C. was, in fact, Spiderman, but this cannot be confirmed for sure.

Spidermans early warning system dubbed the ” Spider Sense” seems to have had a magnetic effect on today’s photographs as some outside force interfered with the quality of the photographs and so there are only a few photographs of today’s event.

There was an absolute downpour as the course was being set up but the weather settled down with the arrival of Spiderman and the event took place in reasonable conditions.

A free draw for a beautiful Hamper exclusive to all volunteers for 2018 was won by Robert O Brien. Beanie Hats were won by Joanne Kearney, Eimear Wiseman, Eoghan Megannety, Richard Raymond, Shaun Mc Fadden, Clare Mc Elhinney, Deirdre Beale, Brendan Delap, Maura O Grady, Jason Mc Laughlin, Peter Mc Glynn, Paul Lee and P.J. Sweeney all of whom have volunteered during 2018.

Anyone who did not collect their prize today can claim his or her prize at next Saturdays Letterkenny Parkrun.

Another beautiful Christmas Hamper will be raffled off in a free to enter draw on Saturday 22nd December and everyone who takes part along with next weeks volunteers will be in the hat for the draw.

The draw will take place before the start so please come along a little bit earlier next week to facilitate the draw being made before the 9.30 start.

Letterkenny Parkrun is free to enter 5k for walkers, joggers, and runners. Parking is free until 11 am for everyone taking part in the event which starts at 9.30 am at St. Conal’s Complex, Kilmacrennan Road, Letterkenny.
