Despite being arguably the better side against Greencastle on Sunday afternoon, Buncrana Hearts left without a single point for their efforts.

An emphatic 2-1 victory was secured for Greencastle deep into injury time, leaving Stephen McNutt’s side without anything for all their hard work on the afternoon.

Speaking to Donegal Sport Hub’s Charlie Collins after the Inishowen League game, McNutt said ‘delighted’ in the manor his team approached the game.

“We are delighted the way with we played, we performed very well away from home,” McNutt said. “I think we dominated about sixty percent of the game and we didn’t take out chances.

“Their second goal was probably a free-kick (to us), but it wasn’t given and I think the referee did well.

“Greencastle are a good side, you can see why they are at the top, they are going to be very hard to beat.”
