More than 30 houses in Inishowen were in darkness this morning following a night of heavy rain and high winds.

The powercut began near Moville at 5.30am this Tuesday morning. ESB crew are working to restore the fault and expect to have supplies back by 11am.

There are more than 6,000 homes, businesses and farms without power nationwide after the unsettled night.

Repair crews have been deployed by ESB and the company hopes restore power to all affected areas by this afternoon.

Customers can log a power outage at powercheck.ie or by calling 1850 372 999 and quote your MPRN number if possible to help the ESB pinpoint your location.
