Gardaí in Letterkenny are putting traffic restrictions in place tonight (Friday) for the Pulse Night Club teenage disco.

Large crowds are expected at the ‘Deck the Bells’ party in Pulse on the Port Road, which begins at 9pm. There will be limited access to the Port Road between 8-9pm and 11pm-12midnight to preserve order in the area.

To facilitate the many parents and buses dropping off young people, Gardaí have announced the following traffic controls:

  • Traffic restrictions will be in place from the Station Roundabout to the traffic lights at the old Courthouse from 8pm to 9pm and from 11pm to midnight.
  • Buses will only be permitted to drop off outside the venue – buses will not be permitted to drop off at Tesco Shopping Centre Car Park, Pearse Road / Ramelton Road or on approach to the Station Roundabout.
  • Parents will be allowed access to the Port Road to drop off and collect teenagers.
  • Buses will also be permitted access to the Port Road to collect teenagers after the event.
