The body of a woman has been found outside a house at Cruckakeehan near Annagry.
The woman, who was in her 50s, had been living in the area for over a year.
Her body was located outside her dwelling yesterday evening, Thursday and it may have been there for a few days.
Gardaí have confirmed this afternoon that they are investigating the sudden death of the woman, adding that the death is not deemed suspicious at this time.
The body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The scene of the discovery has been examined by Gardaí.
