Donegal businessman awarded an OBE

A Donegal man has been included in Queen Elizabeth’s list of OBEs.

Buncrana man Pat Doherty was named in the New Year’s honours list.

Mr Doherty is one of Donegal’s most successful ever businessmen.

His company, Harcourt Developments, owns a catalogue of property and other interests.

They include Letterkenny Shopping Centre, Solas Lough Eske Hotel and the Redcastle Hotel.

OUtside of Donegal, the company is behind numerous projects in the UK as well as the Titanic Quarter in Belfast.
