Letterkenny Christmas dinners proves another huge success

Members of the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce have been thanked for their generosity in supporting and providing meals for those who are at alone at Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.

Every year, Kathy O’Connor organises a group of volunteers to serve the dinners in the Radisson Blu Hotel – with food items being donated by Chamber members.

Along with financial contributions, the event was donated several traditional and festive items, such as soft drinks, party crackers, mince pies, plum puddings, a Christmas tree and decorations, tablecloths, party hats, and a gift for each attendee.

New Year’s Day celebrations were also part schedule this year, with the Radisson Blu coming on board with the same sponsorship.

Anne Condon of Letterkenny Chamber said: “Once again I must thank you for your generosity in supporting community events in Letterkenny, this time the Christmas Dinners for those alone. It is always a pleasure to work on this worthwhile project on behalf of Letterkenny Chamber.”
