Coláiste Ailigh sealed a place in the final of the U16 C Girls Subway All-Ireland Schools Cup today.

Coláiste Ailigh overcame Old Bawn Community School 52-38 after a tense clash.

Shannon Cunningham top scored for the Letterkenny school with 32 points.

Shauna Higgins (7) and Kayleigh McGuinness (6) also impressed, while Sinead Nic atSaoir and Aine Nic Giolla Lontog were also on the mark.

Coláiste Ailigh were 12 in front in the second quarter, but with just three minutes remaining they were a point behind.

However, Coláiste Ailigh rallied and Nic atSaoir won some vital turnovers and Cunningham lobbed in the decisive baskets to seal the win.

Coláiste Ailigh will face Laurel Hill SS from Limerick in the final.
