Confirmed: Woman dead and child injured in tragic accident in Dungloe

Gardaí have confirmed that a woman has died and a child has been injured in a serious incident in Dungloe this evening.

A spokesman confirmed to Donegal Daily they are investigating a fatal traffic collision at Chapel Road at 6.30pm.

A woman in her 30s was fatally injured when she was struck by a car.

A 6 year old girl was also injured and has been taken to University Hospital Letterkenny. The driver of the car was not injured.

The area is sealed of to facilitate an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
