A joint Garda and customs exercise is currently ongoing on the outskirts of Letterkenny.
A number of vehicles have been detained by officers operating in the Tullygay area at the graveyard at Conwal.
Officers are checking a number of Northern-registered vehicles for documentation.
A number of large lorries have also been stopped.
The operation has been ongoing since after 2pm.
