With freezing temperatures again forecast for tonight, Donegal County Council is to again send out its team of gritters across the county this evening.
The gritters will be put into action on all of the main primary routes from 8pm this evening.
It follows a dramatic drop in temperatures in recent days with the first reported snow of the year falling in some parts of Donegal.
Further falls of snow are expected on higher ground this weekend.
