Garda warning over increase in fuel siphoning

Gardaí are warning business owners to beware of fuel siphoning activities in the north-west region.

There has been an increase in criminals stealing fuel from HGVs and trucks in areas around Sligo and Leitrim.

The public has been asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Recommended theft prevention measures include parking your vehicle in a well-lit area, preferably covered by CCTV.

Anyone with information or who has seen something suspicious is asked to contact Sligo Garda Station on 0719157000.
