Leah Gallen will represent Ireland in an international tournament against England on Saturday.

The Raphoe ABC welterweight – pictured above with Peter O’Donnell – will come up against Ellouise Challenger in Bristol.

In 2018, Gallen won a European bronze medal and two Irish titles.

At the European Junior Championships in August – when she made her debut in the Irish vest – Gallen defeated Finja Bree to win bronze.

Gallen, who won the Irish Senior Cadet and Girl 5 titles in 2018, is back in action at the weekend at the Bristol Town Hall.

Gallen takes on Challenger, who last year defeated Loleta Spencer to win the English Championship.

Challenger is a home favourite in Bristol, boxing out of the Downend Boxing Club.

Gallen is also among the nominees for the boxing award this Friday night at the 2018 Donegal Sports Star Awards.
