A period of strong and blustery northwest winds will develop on Saturday evening, starting along the Atlantic Seaboard before extending to other coastal counties overnight.

High seas are also expected.

Northwest winds will have mean speeds of 55 to 65 kilometres per hour, leading to gusts between 90 and 110 kilometres per hour.

The strongest of these winds will be felt in exposed coastal locations where winds may temporarily exceed predicted values.
