DECLAN BONNER was happy to see his side steady the ship and get off and running in Division 2 with a win in Clare.
The Donegal manager saw his team lead 0-10 to 0-8 at half-time before a wretched start to the second half saw the hosts move in front by a point in a stage of the contest where the visitors kicked five wides in a row.
Donegal managed to regain the initiative in Ennis though and points late on through the likes of Jamie Brennan, Jason McGee and Hugh McFadden sealed a 0-16 to 0-13 win.
