Another freezing night is in store for Donegal with temperatures predicted to drop as low as -6C.
Met Eireann has warned that frost will set in quickly after dark this Wednesday night to create widespread icy conditions.
Donegal County Council has deployed gritters on all major routes from 4pm. The interactive map for gritting routes can be viewed by clicking here. Drivers are advised to assume that no road is ice free.
There is a chance of freezing fog in parts of the north west tonight, with temperatures ranging from -3 to -6C. Breezy conditions should clear some frost and fog by Thursday morning, according to Met Eireann.
Frost and snow led to a number of school closures in the north west today. Lingering snow is expected to remain in areas of the county tonight, with further snow forecast for Thursday.
A national status yellow snow-ice warning remains in place until midday Saturday.
