A kind-hearted Ramelton couple is appealing for volunteers to lend a helping hand with their Belarus Appeal this weekend.
Myrtle and Alan Doherty are known for their annual charity collection in aid of children and adults in orphanages in Belarus, an area affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
The Dohertys have been working all month to gather massive loads of donations from generous people across Donegal.
Now, they need help loading everything onto the lorry.
Myrtle said: “We are nearly at the end of our annual Belarus Appeal. The lorry is coming this Sunday morning in Ramelton, hoping to start loading at 9.30am. We have a huge amount of stuff to load and we would really really appreciate any help anyone could give us.”
If you have an hour or two to spare, please contact Myrtle on 0876825387 to let her know that you can make it. She is currently forming a team to load the nappies, toiletries and medicine onto a 40ft lorry and ensure all the vital goods are gifted from Ramelton to Vesnova.
Call Myrtle on 0876825387 to volunteer now.
That’ll be your good deed done for the week!Tags:
