Here’s how Twitter saw Gaoth Dobhair v Corofin …

GAOTH DOBHAIR might’ve went down to Corofin in the All-Ireland Club SFC semi-final but the match impressed many on social media.

The excellent support, the performance of Kevin Cassidy and the toe-to-toe nature of the contest that saw Corofin win in the end on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-12.

Here’s what the world of Twitter made of it.

Took a shortcut en route to Carrick on Shannon and it definitely was the scenic route. GAOTH DOBHAIR ABU🇳🇬 pic.twitter.com/ZZ3WnCmReE

I have wanted to move to Gaoth Dobhair for a long time. A pint in Hiudai Beags reading about GAA what could be better.

GOAL!! Kevin Cassidy who else!!

— Donegal GAA Results (@donegalGAAres) February 16, 2019

You could watch Corofin and Gweedore all day. Cracking game with two exciting teams.

— Edwin McGreal (@edmcgreal) February 16, 2019

Gary Sice with a half-volley rebound for a goal. Very nice. Corofin up by five after 16 minutes and this one could get away from Gaoth Dobhair in a hurry.

Enjoyable game of football between Gweedore and Corofin. Donegal lads are hardy boys but Corofin are seriously stylish. Some moments of quality the difference so far!

Such a brilliant enjoyable watch between Corofin and Gweedore, end to end hard hitting ball, refreshing compared to alot of county games…Cassidy, MacNiallais, Burke and L Silke with great displays, all round best team was Corofin fair result. @CorofinGAA @officialdonegal

Hup Gaoth Dobhair 💪🏻🙏🤞 pic.twitter.com/HL6VGYju6I

— Ciarán Ó Maonaigh (@CMoonDL) February 16, 2019

And that’s why you don’t call out a classy and renowned team like Corofin on social media #corofin #gweedore #gaa #TheToughest

— Pauline Doherty (@paulaglenties) February 16, 2019

Although down by 5 points at half time the Gweedore crowd are on their feet roaring on their team as they leave the field at half time! That’s the GAA, That’s Community and there nothing fickle about that support and that’s what it’s truly all about #gaabeo #TheToughest #GAA

— Bill Hill (@BillHillWicklow) February 16, 2019

Gaoth Dobhair’s dream is ended by brilliant Corofin. They’re lauded for their attacking brilliance, and rightly so, but they’re an awesome physical unit and they work like dogs. Talent and hard work together? You get All-Irelands

Wonderful few months commentating on Gaoth Dobhair. The journey came to an end but that is an awesome Corofin side. It will be some final @oceanfmsport #GAA #Donegal

— Paddy McGill (@Paddymac1985) February 16, 2019

Gutted for the Gaoth Dobhair lads today but the just came across a better side. Lads hold your heads high, you represented Donegal and Ulster immensely well and I have no doubt you’ll be back in the future. Hopefully you lads can come back now and help the county.
