Locals in Newtowncunningham have been left outraged after litter louts left a horde of unwanted items at a popular scenic spot.

Members of the public stopping at the Quay Shore were left gobsmacked to find the items dumped early this morning.

They included a television, toys, bikes, electronic equipment and even parts of cars.

One local contacted Donegal Daily told how another local heard the items being dumped around 5.30am.

They said “A person living nearby heard a loud noise this morning (Saturday) at about 5.30am and believes the waste was left there then.

“It consists of various bits of electronic equipment, toys, children’s bikes, pictures, auto parts, etc, perhaps by someone clearing out a house for a sale or rental viewing.”

Anybody with any information is asked to contact Gardai or Donegal County Council.
