Maxi Curran heaped the praise on his Donegal Ladies following their impressive 2-17 t0 0-7 victory over Monaghan at O’Donnell Park on Sunday.

The Donegal manager was delighted with their performance from Donegal in what he insisted was always going to be a tricky affair.

Speaking to Donegal Daily’s Chris McNulty, Curran said: “We felt it was going to be a tough challenge.

“Monaghan had been very defensive in their previous game against Galway and ran them very close so we envisaged something similar.

“We talked during the week and we worked on it as how to break that down. “Thankfully, it worked out easier for is in the end, I suppose.”
