A woman was locked in a shed after two masked men entered her home in Co Donegal and caused damage to the house.
The shocking incident happened at Lismoughry, Manorcunningham around 5pm today.
The two men, who were understood to be armed, approached the woman in her house and then locked her in a shed beside the house.
The men then went into the house and caused damage before fleeing.
It is not understood the woman was injured but she was shaken by her ordeal.
It has not been clarified if anything was stolen from the house.
Gardai are at the scene of the incident tonight and specialist forensic officers will arrive at the scene to carry out further investigations tomorrow morning (Thurs).
The incident happened just a mile from another house raid at Drumcairn, Manorucnningham on Sunday night last.
Gardai have confirmed that four masked and armed men entered a private house and caused extensive damage.
It is not known if the two incidents are connected at this stage.
