Cassidy Brothers have been supplying top quality concrete products and aggregate materials for more than 75 years.

High-quality products include quarry stone, sand, gravel, blocks, ready-mix concrete, precast and bespoke concrete furniture, polished/ exposed concrete and concrete screeds. Cassidy Brothers supply a large range of construction products and materials throughout Ireland and the UK.

Projects range from one-off bespoke installs to major projects in residential, commercial, retail, hotels, education & leisure sectors.

The company now requires a graduate engineer/concrete technician who will be based in Buncrana.

Role Background

The precast and bespoke concrete furniture, polished concrete and exposed concrete product range is becoming increasingly sought after in both the UK and Ireland.

Due to recent project awards and continued growth, Cassidy Brothers are seeking to add to their team and speak with graduated Civil Engineering technicians, who are keen to take up a long-term role in their Buncrana office and assist the current team in place.

The role

The successful candidate will be required to assist with all the product aspects of the company however, in particular, the bespoke products and concrete technology.

Typical duties will include:

– Liaising and co-ordinating with other design team members, clients and/or external consultants.

– Occasionally attending design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate.

– Prepare fabrication drawings for the fabrication team

– Implementation and supervision of current concrete masonry and aggregate standards

– Concrete development

Acceptance criteria:

– Engineering Degree or Diploma

– Fluency in AutoCAD working with 2D and 3D designs, experience with modelling software such as Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk VRED Professional or similar.

– Fluency in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint mainly.

– Good communication skills

– Can work effectively to deadlines and as part of a team.
