The heat is about to be turned up for Donegal singer Ailish McBride as the elimination rounds begin on TG4’s Glor Tire music contest.

The 19-year-old Creeslough native is one of six finalists battling it out for this year’s ‘Glor Tíre’ title.

Singing under the mentorship of Monaghan country star Ciaran Rosney, Ailish has already impressed the judges with her single ‘Golden Ring’.

All six finalists will perform in the first elimination episode, live from the Quays in Galway, this Tuesday, 5th March at 9.30pm.

Based on the public vote, the top four contestants will be safe and perform again. The two contestants will the lowest votes will perform in a sing-off with the judges saving one and sending the first contestant home.

Ailish can rest assured that she will have Donegal cheering her on tonight, as the tension rises and the live eliminations continue on Ireland’s country music talent show.
