A second-half burst by Tyrone condemned Donegal’s Under-17s to defeat in Strabane this afternoon in the Ulster Minor League.

Gary Duffy’s team led by three points at the interval but were outscored by eight points to three in the second half.

After falling to a narrow two-point defeat, in the end, Duffy explained his disappointment at the result.

Speaking to Donegal Daily’s, Charlie Collins, he said: “We didn’t win the ball in the midfield and going forward Tyrone turned us over a number of times, especially around their forty-five.

“That was the disappointing thing out of it,” he added. “I thought maybe at half-time we had enough cushion (in the scoreline) but they started brightly.”
