Emergency services are attending to the scene of a vehicle fire on the Mountain Road in Carndonagh.

The Fire Service along with Gardaí are at the scene, with the delays in place.

A crane truck caught fire before 2pm on Monday.

An eye witness told Donegal Daily: “I passed (the scene) as the fire brigade was arriving. (The fire is) on the Buncrana side. It’s badly ablaze.

“The fire seemed to be coming from the undercarriage. Burning material was dripping from underneath it. Heavy black smoke and flames were coming out of the side of a red truck.”

There are no reports of any injuries.
