It’s time to cast your vote for this week’s Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week, in association with O’Reilly’s.

Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jacket and a bobble hat, supplied by O’Reilly’s.

The award winner will be chosen via a public vote from a shortlist selected by our panel.

O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.

Our poll closes at noon on Thursday.

Terence Doherty (Glengad United)

Glengad United are just one step from the Aviva after Shane Byrne’s team had an excellent 3-1 win over Clonmel Town in Sunday’s FAI Junior Cup quarter-final. In a game of inches, Terence Doherty had Glengad in front after Connor Barrow’s opener was cancelled out. Christy Fildara added the coup de grace. Doherty’s predatory instincts were key as Glengad moved into a semi-final meeting with St Michael’s.

Megan Havlin (Moville Community College)

Moville Community College won last week’s FAI Schools Senior Girls National Cup final at the Showgrounds. Megan Havlin led the way for the Moville students, scoring one of the goals and having a hand in the other three in a 4-0 win.

Anna Hennessy (Letterkenny)

Letterkenny’s Anna Hennessy was in the headlines last week after a glorious assault in the Swim Ulster Open Disability Championships. The popular 19-year-old won a gold, two silver and a bronze medal at the Championships in Newy.

Blathnaid McLaughlin (Ulster University)

Donegal native Blathnaid McLaughlin captained Ulster University, Jordanstown to victory in the Gourmet Food Parlour Giles Cup at the weekend. UU defeated Waterford IT 2-17 to 1-9 at Grangegorman. Moville clubwoman McLaughlin was the UU skipper and accepted the silverware for her side.

Bryan McNamee (Convoy ABC)

Bryan McNamee won his fourth Irish title on Sunday. The Convoy ABC man defeated John Marshall in the senior 75kgs final at the Third Level Championship finals. McNamee had to overcome a cut to his head in the opening round before claiming a unanimous decision win.
