Kelly on the double for Cappry in Donegal Town

written by Chris McNulty March 17, 2019

Cappry Rovers recorded a 2-0 victory at the Hospital Field with Aaron Kelly grabbing both goals.

Donegal Town 0 Cappry Rovers 2

Donegal had started the brighter of the two sides and enjoyed large periods of possession in the first half, but failed to create any clear-cut chances.

Cappry made the breakthrough just after the hour mark with Aaron Kelly heading home at the front post from a corner.

Donegal pushed on in search of an equaliser but were unable to find the net with Joe McIntyre going close on one occasion.

As Donegal pushed forward it left them vulnerable at the back and Kelly seized his opportunity to double his side’s advantage when slipped through late on.

Kelly remained cool under pressure to slot home and seal the victory for the visitors.

Team performances from both sides.

Referee: Patrick Martin.
