Listen: Tony McNamee eager to get his chance to shine at Finn Harps again

Tony McNamee is aiming to get a spot in Finn Harps’ first XI – and keep it.

McNamee was recruited back to Harps this season having spent some time in the Ulster Senior League.

A member of the Harps promotion-winning team of 2015, the Ramelton man can sense his time coming soon.

“I feel I’m getting pretty sharp again,” McNamee told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub ahead of Friday night’s game against Shamrock Rovers.

“Training has been fairly good. If I’m injury-free, touch wood, I won’t be far away.

“There is no sense in me lying, I wasn’t coming in here just to train. The other 18, 19 or 20 players are the same. No-one wants to train three or four times a week to sit in the stand.

“Hopefully once the first start comes there’ll be more to follow. I’m feeling sharp in training again.”
