Councillor Gerry Crawford has called on Donegal County Council to carry out a review of all speed limit signs in the county.

The Porthall-based Fianna Fáil Councillor says the Council must ensure that all speed signs are both visible and positioned correctly.

Councillor Crawford highlighted an example at the entrance to the Ard Baithin housing estate in St Johnston.

“A high number of road traffic collisions have been recorded at this location,” Councillor Crawford said.

“I would call on all drivers to slow down and help improve road safety.

“All of us have a part to play in our own safety and the safety of others.”
