It was another busy week for members at the Cloughaneely Golf Club as they emerged as winners of the Gaeltacht Alliance. Get full-round up of their club notes below.

Both Gaoth Dobhair and Cruit Island finished on 30 points in the 2018 / 2019 Gaeltacht Alliance, but Cloughaneely GC were clear winners with 36 points.

Comhghairdeas le Brian McGee agus a fhoireann.

We host the Gaeltacht Alliance Captain’s day this Saturday 13th April. The timesheet is as follows; Cloughaneely tee-off nice and early from 8.30-9.30am. Gaoth Dobhair tee-off from 11am-12pm and Cruit Island tee-off from 1-2pm. Any other Cloughaneely Members can contact Brian if you would like to play on the day.

The golf course is in fantastic order and a great day with excellent prizes is assured.  Beginner Gents and Ladies Golf Lessons with Seamus McMonagle begin on Sunday 28th April. The cost is €50 for a five-week course. More details on our facebook page soon.

The Tuesday and Friday 9 Hole Competitions are underway with golfers required to return their score in the computer every week.

The €5 entry is great value for Members and Visitors and the competition is open to anyone with a GUI Handicap. We are actively seeking new 2019 tee box and competition sponsors any businesses interested please let us know.
