Donegal battled hard but couldn’t tame Derry in the final of the Buncrana Cup as the Oak Leaf county ran out winners of the 2019 Buncrana Cup final at The Scarvey.
Donegal manager Luke Barrett spoke to Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub following the conclusion of the contest and said he was disappointed to have seen his side fall at the final hurdle.
He said: “Yeah, very disappointing. We knew coming in that we were going to have to be at our very, very best to beat this Derry side.
“I thought defensively in the first half we probably were as good as we have been all year but we just didn’t get enough hands on the ball going forward.”
