Oakfield Park re-opened earlier this month and is celebrating its 280th year in 2019 with the first of many special events, Easter in Wonderland, which takes place on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The Oakfield Park gardens will be open from 12 to 6pm each day and will host a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The family fun includes treasure hunts and character meets with the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, the Easter Bunny and Alice. The Easter Bunny Express Train will be running regularly each day and there’ll be egg and spoon races, flamingo croquet, and Easter themed crafts and storytelling. Visitors to the park are invited to come along dressed up as their favourite Wonderland Character, have tea in Buffers or bring their own Mad Hatter’s Picnic.

Meet the Easter Bunny in Oakfield Park this Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 12-6pm.

No tickets are necessary. Normal gate fees apply and all activities are included. As this event is not ticketed, it will be free to access for 2019 Annual and Gold Pass holders. The start of a new season is the perfect time to get an Oakfield Park annual pass, which can be purchased online at www.oakfieldpark.com/passes

Spend Easter in Wonderland at Oakfield Park; the family fun includes treasure hunts and character meets with the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, the Easter Bunny and Alice.

Meanwhile, tickets for Oakfest – the park’s summer music festival – are expected to sell out. Taking place over the June Bank Holiday weekend, Oakfest will run across two stages and two days and includes a stellar line-up of national and international artists. World-renowned Alabama 3 Acoustic will headline on Saturday 1st June, while one of Ireland’s most exciting bands, The Academic, will headline on Sunday 2nd June.

Other top acts for Oakfest include Ryan McMullan, Little Hours, The Frank & Walters Acoustic, Cronin, Rory & The Island, State Lights, DD & The Delta Boys, The Lost, Mark Black & Izzy, The Davy K Project, Cherym, Makings, Control The Dark and String Empire.

As well as a top-class musical billing, Oakfest at Oakfield Park will have plenty for the whole family to enjoy, including a disco dome for little music lovers, arts and crafts, face-painting, puppetry, nature walks, train heritage, folklore and storytelling.  Tickets are selling fast so get yours before it sells out: https://oakfieldpark.com/oakfest/
