Emergency services are currently (8pm) dealing with a gorse fire above Crolly.
The fire is spreading rapidly in the Meencorwick and Meenaweal areas, fanned by a light breeze.
Fire units from Gweedore and Dungloe are being assisted by locals in a bid to bring the blaze under control.
There are a number of private houses in the immediate area but it’s understood there is no immediate risk of danger.
