Callum Morris makes it three-from-three in Wicklow

Callum Morris made it three wins out of three when he topped the podium at the first round of the Vitus Gravity Enduro in Wicklow.

The young Inishowen mountain biker is now leading all three Irish Championships in the U14 category.

This weekend’s event was not without drama for the Dirtyrides MTB Apparel Enduro team rider with brake problems during Saturday’s practice meant his time was limited to get used to the stages.

A puncture on the final stage during Sunday’s race where he lost about 40 seconds to his rivals left Callum with a nervous wait at the finish before the final results were posted leaving him 11 seconds ahead.

Next up is a trip to Scotland for the Highland Hardline Downhill race in Fort William where Callum’s brother Aaron will also be racing.
