Motorists warned to plan ahead for two week road closure in Inishowen

Motorists in Inishowen have been urged to plan ahead as a popular road route is set to close to allow for bridge replacement works. 

The Carndonagh Mountain road (R244) is set to close tomorrow, Monday, April 29 from 8am for two weeks (Monday, May 13).

The council has said there will be no access on the road during this period.

There will be diversions will be in place for vehicles along the R238 road through Buncrana, Clonmany, Ballyliffin and Carndonagh.
