Gardai are remaining tight-lipped about a raid on an apartment in Letterkenny yesterday.
Armed Gardai search an apartment in the Rosemount area.
It is understood an ex-Republican prisoner is renting an apartment in the area.
The man was called to Letterkenny Garda station where he was told his apartment was being searched.
The man, who is from Co Tyrone, has been living in Letterkenny for a number of weeks.
