Ryan McKinley is enjoying life in Division One, even if the new Glenswilly manager has already seen how unforgiving the top flight can be.

After a successful spell at the helm of his home club, Naomh Colmcille, McKinley was recruited by the three-times Donegal SFC winners

“It’s been enjoyable,” McKinley told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“They’re a fantastic club up there and they show great work ethic, great commitment and great character. There is a wealth of experience in there and it’s been very good to work with them.”

On Saturday night, Conor McGinty struck in the eight minute of added-on time to seal a win over Sean MacCumhaills and earn Glenswilly their second League win of the campaign.

McKinley, who was missing several key players, said: “The boys trained really well and they have been training really well.

“The young boys went in and had answers for what was pushed at them.”
